The property was ideally located in the centre of everything and the British Colonial did not disappoint in any area during our 10 day stay. I would definitely recommend it and hope to go back soon.

The building is old but well-maintained. The staff was simply wonderful and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was truly impressive. It was the most unforgettable experience. We are appreciative for it.

PROS: great location, beautiful beaches, many restaurants on site, MOST of the staff were friendly, easy to get to the other Atlantis hotels CONS: one beach staff literally took our umbrella from our lounger that we got up early to grab to give to another patron because she complained about not having one (because she came to the beach late) - obviously this would not be a problem if they had enough umbrella loungers! But there were so little of them and half of them were broken; WE WERE LAYING IT IN WHILE HE TOOK IT and ignored our protests. The check out staff was so short when I asked if the large deposit they took during check in was applied to the total balance that we owed during check out; she spoke to us like we were idiots. The spa. If you are renovating then perhaps don’t be open for business because you don’t know this until you show up and it is not in the spa area and you have zero spa amenities; it was like a doctor’s office. The sulfur smell and taste in the water…drinking water, washing & bathing water.

Overall it was a great stay, a bit overpriced and very crowded during the last week of March. One thing we really didn’t enjoy was the fight over pool chairs everyday. If you didn’t get up at 6 am and put items on chairs, or pay for a reserved chair, it was impossible to get a chair anywhere near any of the pools. The beach was also crowded, but could find chairs there at least. The food was very good at most places. We loved breakfast at Cleo and Madeleine. Tip- order the continental and kids breakfast room service meals- was the cheapest option for breakfast. Our favorite day was probably the Baha Beach club since they credit your food since you pay for the chairs. We ate lots of good food, server comes to chairs, infinity pools are warm and amazing views. I’ve seen a lot of comments about staff being unpleasant, but that wasn’t our experience. Everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly. I actually slipped on a sandy walkway and dropped a tray of food- the lifeguard and another employee came over and helped me, cleaned up my scrapes, and got us another tray of food. Would definitely return, but maybe not during spring break or holiday season!

Yes, Bar was well stocked food was available continuously. The only problem was at night the meat was dry. Otherwise the breakfast meals were fantastic. Lunch was great , suppers not so great but good for family. They were a little short of staff. I believe it was hard to get a reservation at a dining room on the facility for evening.
