WON'T UPLOAD PICS! Arrived Sunday night w/daughter to find out pool was an extra £10 pp/per access- husband had chosen hotel cos it had a pool but it didn't say it was extra(chlorine smell on ground floor overwhelming). Ordered via hotel app to refresh tea/milks (either Sund or Mond night). It said it would next day. They didn't. Went downstairs to ask for milk & lady at reception gave me some. Tuesd night used app again & clicked refreshments+cleaning (weren't bothered about bed change but wanted rubbish taken away & fresh towels). It said it would be done next day. In the morn I double checked with man at reception if I needed to leave my key for cleaning & that I had requested it on the app the night before. He said 'no, your room will be cleaned today'. We went out for a couple of hours, came back, left early evening returned at 11pm, room hadn't been cleaned nor the refreshments replenished. Before midnight I asked a man on reception for tea+milk. Told him room number & shared info re putting requests -twice for refreshments & one for cleaning, once more at the desk in the morning) that had not been fulfilled. Informed him that by now there was a lot of rubbish in the room. He apologised & gave me the tea+milk & asked if I needed toiletries or towels, I said no. Of course I realised 1h later, before getting into bed, that the toilet roll had run out & had to use tissues till we left next day. Same 3 cups constantly rinsing 4 nights stay. Appalling lack of basic service.

Would not recommend/stay again. There were a few things I was willing to overlook and write them off as local charm, but my biggest issue was with the way they provide luggage storage "service". You can leave you luggage with the concierge on the day you check-out, but it will cost you £5 per bag per hour! So there were three of us, suitcase each and one backpack would've cost us over £90 to keep our bags there until 7pm train. Which is absolutely ridiculous. Other things to be aware off: the rooms face the main street, which gets very noisy at night - we were treated to a karaoke competition well into after midnight. The hotel is advertised as having AC, but it did not feel like it was working, the room got very stuffy and we could not open the windows because of the noise. The situation with elevators is a bit ridiculous, too. But once again, I would've overlooked all of it, if it wasn't for the luggage policy. As it is 2 stars.
