“Great place for a long weekend. Scenery is amazing, hotel is clean, it has a cosy feeling, staff are great and food is pretty good. ”

“The hotel itself as well as the entire property is beautiful and well maintained. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean, food was good. Prices were exorbitant for literally everything. Most are across Scotland and the UK. The real issue we encountered, was certain staff were distasteful and had an obvious distain for foreigners. We come from Texas, I brought my dad here for his 68th birthday as a surprise to see our homeland. Mirela and her sidekick (short dark hair and blue eyes) openly pointed……

“Dean and Paul were exceptional hosts, and within minutes after our arrival it felt like we were visiting with old friends. It truly was one of the warmest and friendliest environments I have ever experienced at a boutique hotel. Paul’s skills as a chef were amazing, as well! The breakfasts were superb and the lone dinner eaten at the hotel was also memorably delicious. Clean rooms, super staff and a great location for exploring central Scotland, the Birchwood Pitlochry checks all these boxes……

“The hotel itself is looking a little tired in places, but the bedrooms have been tastefully redecorated and have everything you need - comfy bed, good bathroom with shower cubicle, hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, large smart TV, free WiFi and even an ironing board and iron. It wasn't an issue for me, but the lift to the third (attic) floor wasn't working, and it wouldn't have been fun to carry large, heavy suitcases up the narrow stairs. Breakfast was great - a good selection of hot and……
