“On prior years' visits, the experience was much better. Unfortunately, the hotel has deteriorated this from the smaller to bigger aspects: prices have increased, service decreased e.g. no drinking water in the deluxe room, restaurant food not good/over priced, they allowed a very loud high school graduation party in the central area, which was bad enough on a Friday evening, but instead of ending at 11 pm it went past 1 am (many guests complained), and the reservations department was unfriendly……

“Like this stay, I have stayed there a few times overnight. The location is very convenient as we were towing a car trailer and didn't have to navigate the narrow streets down towards the Malecon. There is a gated dirt parking lot behind the hotel. As far as the room, it was clean and ready. The bathroom was clean and stocked with soap and a shampoo, beds were clean and comfortable, a/c mini split worked fine. We were right by the pool so it was great when we got there.
