8.4/10 Very Good! (13,486 reviews)
I only spent one night at New Orleans so I didn’t really get to get into the amenities, but the casino was really nice and so are the restaurants. It’s cool that they have a movie theater & a bowling alley on site though. I bought a film on the TV and the sound didn’t sync, but the staff took it off my bill which I appreciated. The hotel is undergoing renovations so I would really recommend booking a premium room or asking for a room upgrade at the front desk. The construction does start pretty early, but I wasn’t very close to it so it wasn’t too bad. The room rates are the best you will find near the strip right now, though because of it. I think the hotel will be really a lot better off for the renovation. My room was really cute and had a lot of charging ports, a fridge that wasn’t stocked with stuff, a coffee maker and they have room service that’s really affordable. The television was really big and the shower is a walk-in. I think they could use more amenities like a face wash or something to make it sparkle, but there were lots of towels and the beds are comfortable. I had made a reservation for the oyster bar on OpenTable, but it was their first day closing an hour early. The manager came out to see me and was very nice about it. So I went to the Ondor Asian Kitchen and got Tuna Tataki and shrimp dumplings. It was very good and open late! Simply because of all the construction, I wouldn’t expect your stay to be organized, but I did have a nice time.
