The hotel was beautiful! Their private beach was amazing. At a great location

Overall, we had a good vacation, but we wouldn’t stay at RIU Bahamas again. The resort was clean, but the rooms are definitely dated. We stayed on the 15th floor and had several issues. The TV constantly froze, the Wi-Fi in our room didn’t work at all, the A/C stopped cooling on day two, and there was a steady drip from the ceiling unit that kept the floor wet. Our biggest issue was the lack of hot water. We reported it to the front desk, and although they said it would be fixed, it took over a day. We went about a day and a half without hot water, which was very frustrating. The food was mediocre overall. The buffet was just okay, but the specialty restaurants were much better. The service was the biggest disappointment. It wasn’t just the bartenders—the customer service throughout the resort felt very dismissive. Most staff acted like you were inconveniencing them whenever you needed something. The highlights were definitely the beach and pools. The beach is beautiful, and the workers on the beach were friendly, responsive, and not overly pushy with selling excursions or services. We still had a great trip because the Bahamas is beautiful, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t return to this resort.

Everything is excellent, eat local food and not at resort!
