Check-in was seamless. Stefan helped me with a problem with my booking quickly and satisfactorily. He was a big help. The room was nicely laid out and quite spacious. Breakfast was pretty basic hotel fare, nothing special. Excellent location for Gundersen Hospital.

The menu choices in the dining room were limited and there was no way to get coffee on the weekend before 7:30 and you have to go down to the lobby to get it. I am sure room service was available eventually. Very quaint spot and well done that way but be prepared that it doesn't have things that newer places have, like ice machines, coffee makers in the room, or more than one elevator for the whole building. So don't be in a hurry.

The room was quite nice - clean with comfy beds. The tub fed have some disgusting rusty stains around the drain. Coffee supplies had not been replaced & we had NO drinking glasses. Doors to the hall needed to be repainted. A wall repair in the hall was left unfinished with piles of dry wall in the hall. Really tacky! Great location in the heart of the city. The Pearl Ice Cream Shop across the street had a long line. Totally worth the wait. Fun breakfast place about a block away. All in all, it was a decent stay at a decent price.

"This is a beautiful location along the Mississippi River. The hotel was clean and quiet with a great cafe and bar attached. It’s close to a trail with historical markers and a park for exploring. The town itself is a bit disappointing, but the hotel was excellent."
