3500 years old UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Thebes, present day Luxur, the capital of Egypt during the period of the Middle and New Middle Kingdoms is a striking testimony of the Egyption civilization at it's height.

Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) was the fifth pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty. She came to the throne of Egypt in 1478 BC and is generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty.
