MacArthur Vacations from $175

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE! I arrived at night in the pouring rain after a long day of driving. The office was locked, with a note on the door saying to call this number. When I called and asked to check in, I was told they had no rooms because of a “water problem”, despite the room already being booked and paid for in advance. I was left stranded with nowhere to stay, and the guy could not have cared less. I said, “You couldn’t have called people to give them a heads up so they could make other arrangements?!?” He shrugged it off, saying, “That would be something for the day shift to do. I’m the night shift.” I now see that this place has multiple listings on Expedia, and lots of other people have had my same experience. Expedia is “working on” getting me a refund, but they can’t get in touch with the proper representative at the property. (Shocker.) I made it clear to them that they need to remove this property from their page. Any positive reviews are clearly a sham. The employees at the gas station nearby said a bunch of homeless people stay at that hotel. Save yourself the headache I just went through and steer clear of these scammers.

The front desk staff was awesome; super friendly and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable. The shower didn't have the pressure I'm used to but it was sufficient. Our tv wasn't working properly, they came down within 10 mins to fix it. The location was easy to find. The breakfast was delicious. If I'm ever in that area again, we'll definitely stay there.

Towels were threadbare and had hair on them. No place to fill a water bottle except drinking fountain in pool area which didn’t spout high enough to fill the bottle. Also, the pool room has limited access. I gave up and overpaid for bottled water. Window did not lock securely. The staff immediately fixed it.
