Extremely underwhelming experience; barely scrapes a three-star standard. While the location is rather advantageous—situated within a convenient half-hour stroll of the old town attractions—the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The room's built-in bathtub was completely redundant; due to abysmal water pressure and highly erratic temperatures, a proper bath was out of the question, rendering it strictly shower-only. Frankly, one would be better off utilizing the swimming pool changing facilities. Speaking of the pool, it was remarkably small, congested, and poorly managed. The senior staff were rather rude and spoke no English, arbitrarily forcing guests to don seemingly unhygienic swimming caps. Worse still, privacy was compromised by a female guest filming poolside and subsequently dashing into the male changing quarters. Breakfast was equally abysmal. The voucher promised an 'American style' buffet, yet it comprised substandard, uninspired local fare. Appallingly, cockroaches were spotted near the coffee machine, and no tea was available. Quite disappointing.
