Cotai is an entertainment resort known for its strip of hotels and casinos that would look perfectly in place in Las Vegas. Illuminated towers containing malls and children’s amusement areas fill the sky on land reclaimed from the sea between Coloane and Taipa. Bring your entire family on a visit to Cotai to enjoy the fun shows and attractions of this neon hub.

From the northern end of the district rises the City of Dreams resort and casino space, comprising a long, shiny base with four towers of varying futuristic designs. Try your luck at casino games and consider staying in one of the hotels. Take your little ones to the City of Dreams Kids’ City section, which has playgrounds, art workshops and virtual reality games. Other family activities include the aquarium and the House of Dancing Water Show.

South of the Praia de Nossa Senhora da Esperança lake stands the 39-story Venetian Macau Casino, one of the largest casinos in the world. See its vast illuminated body reflected in the lake at night and head inside for the labyrinth of gambling tables, entertainment hubs and sports arenas. Artificial canals running through the hotel resemble real canals in the city of Venice. Embark on the Venetian Macau Gondola Ride with a gondolier.

Admire the glass wall of Studio City, which has a television and movie theme. Let your kids play in the enormous Studio City Warner Bros. Fun Zone. Other immense casinos in the area include the Sands Cotai Central and the Hard Rock Casino.

The district lies between Coloane and Taipa on Macau’s southern island. Arrive at the Aeroporto Internacional de Macau and travel into Cotai by bus. Explore the surroundings for the many attractions of Coloane including beaches on its southern shoreline.

With its fun rides, exclusive malls and upscale casino hotels, Cotai is a playground for kids and adults.
