Overall a great and well positioned hotel

Beautiful hotel located close to the basilique and the Roman theater. You can walk to Vieux Lyon and enjoy the old town. Great staff and great hotel. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel. Location is amazing - you could not be any closer to shops and food. Be aware the hotel is on actual sidewalk/street that is usually closed. So if you are driving, make sure you call in advance for the code. Otherwise you have to walk all the way in to get the code. But its worth it

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very centrally located with easy access to Vieux Lyon. The rooms were clean, quiet and well appointed. The staff was very helpful. We had our dig with us and felt welcome with a comfortable dog bed and bowls provided. There is a nice riverside walk nearby to stretch his legs. We thought that the hotel was very good value for money give the amenities (lovely pool and spa area) and the quality of the service. We hope to return in the future.

The staff at the Sofitel Lyon were superb. We had an issue with Air France’s missing baggage department, and the staff, especially Valentin, really helped us out of jam. Restaurant was great, location was lovely. We’d never been to Lyon, but we came away feeling it was a place we have to come back to. Thanks in large part to the team at the Sofitel.
