Lovely hotel although judging by our room perhaps could do with an update in some areas. Only ate breakfast there but that was great with lots of choice. One thing to mention; the in-room safe was located on a high shelf inside the wardrobe which for a person of my height (5ft) made it difficult to access.

We stayed overnight to Manchester on our way to Dublin. It was close to Old Trafford stadium which we were able to tour while in thr city. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The morning breakfast was very good.

Average stay at average Marriott. Three disappointments. It is a little frustrating when a standard room is called "deluxe". The use of the word "deluxe" implies something special. Actually, "deluxe" is their standard (basic) room. It was OK but no A/C, no fridge, basic tea/coffee etc. Secondly, no cleaning service during 2-night stay so no refreshing of tea tray or clean cups. Thirdly, TV aerial had been pulled (cleaning staff should check everything works) so had to move very heavy cupboard out of the way to replace it. In summary, higher than average prices charged for an average Marriott room
