Mangrove Cay Vacations from $624

The property was beautiful with a beautiful outdoor area and beach. Great proximity to down time just plan around cruises because it all closes down when they depart.The hotel food that they had was good, but they were out of out first choices at each dining location brekfast and dinner. Service was average and slow even for vacation standards , took 45 minutes to bring water out after we asked for it. However the gentlemen at the sushi bar were very good and enjoyed talking with them. The rooms were very nice, but we had th A/C dripping water in the floor the 2 nights we were there, they did come 3 times to look at it but was never fixed, we were left with bunch of extra towels to soak up the water, spent some time each morning wiping the floor down so we could get ready. No offer of a different room or some sort of credit for the inconvenience. Pool area was great, and if you came from one of the Cruises and purchased a day pass you received excellent service. But seemed that those staying there were on there own. When we went to the outside bar for drinks, the bartender was excellent and entertaining.! The ladies waitressing around the pool never seemed to find our area. Hopefully this wasnt the norm for them giving the poor impression we were left with, because the property really beautiful.

The room was clean. Staff was friendly and responsive. But don't lose your ID band because it will cost you!

Island House is one of my favorite hotels in the world and yet feels just like home. The boutique hotel is spacious, with quiet tree top views, a relaxing pool that’s always free, spa, gym and access to the private beaches of historic Old Fort Bay Club. The staff is attentive and relaxed. Excellent restaurant options, including an Italian market with fresh pizza, Roman fine dining, inventive Sushi and an all day bar & cafe. A monthly rotation of events focuses on wellness, cinema, music, fine dining and culture. Close to the airport, but far from the cruise crowds - Island House sits in front the heart of Lyford Cay, the capital of off-shore financial services, private banking and luxury neighborhoods tourists never see.

The cleanliness for such a large establishment

Overall staff was great. App was helpful. Shuttle service was good but at times it would take 20-30 min to get to our destination. They were always out of towels for the beach/pool which made it frustrating. I would walk to multiple huts and they all would be out. The longest time to restock was over 2 hours. The room ac had some problems. Overall room was very clean. Laundry room was available for us to use which made it nice. I would not go back though. Everything was so over priced. We were paying minimum of $175-$250/meal for 2 adults and a 7yr old and 9yr old including breakfast. We just went to the Cayman Islands 5 months ago and it was priced way better than Atlantis. It was nice to have so many things to do right on the property but also hard on our feet with all the walking around in slides. It was just a lot.
