To really understand a place, it often pays to step back into earlier times. Catalonia's fascinating ruins are a great starting point. Houses of worship are often the perfect portals into a region's soul. The churches throughout Catalonia are no exception.
The Catalonia area features a number of relaxing ways to enjoy the great outdoors. Spend the day shore fishing or beach combing and feel your worries drift away. Pack your equipment or rent some when you get here, and get out onto the water. Stand-up paddle boarding is one great activity. Another good option is boating.
When it is time to depart this unique place, say goodbye the way locals do, with a heartfelt "Adiós."
