"Corner room in Mill with water view (#4) with A/C and cross ventilation highly recommended. Bed, however, is very lumpy and mattress should be replaced. Good continental or a la carte breakfasts. Excellent lunch in their bistro ‘Au fils du temps’. Order pistachio cream profiterole if available!"

"This is a budget hotel. We only slept and showered there. We brought our dogs. We booked the rooms at 21:00 for a 22:00 arrival. The entrance is automated. We did not get our confirmation codes to the doors. All of that was solved with a quick call. It was clean and looks like there’s food machines in the lobby if you needed something. The hotel is located in a business zone though there are other hotels nearby. Free parking in the back. If you are arriving late (and are with dogs) and leaving early and need a clean room, I’d recommend Ibis Budget. "

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. I inadvertently left a small item in the room upon departure. Housekeeping discovered it even before I knew of my mistake, the desk called me and kindly arranged to have it sent to me by post. (I paid for postage expenses, of course.) "Beautiful pool and garden, beautiful quiet location - house was good but old fashioned and required more thorough cleaning and attention to detail on cleaning crockery, checking for bugs in house (cleaning again) and ensuring that all facilities were in good working order which they were not. Heating was broken, dishwasher did not clean properly, no hot water in evening, then internet went down in storm affecting TV, with little to no contact with owner. This house needs TLC as did we so we felt cold, neglected and disappointed with our holiday. Apart from one load of logs for the fire which cheered us up we were pretty much ignored by the owner except when he arrived to check the heating and the plumber tried to fix. But it came on once at 2am then that was it. So very sorry but it was all too frustrating. Better communication is required. "

"The property is lovely, although a little tired; the room was large with sofa, good storage and some strange wall hangings (think swords and battle axes!), but the bed was below par - two different beds pushed together that moved and were not very comfortable. The gym is good with a balcony that looks over the forest, and the spa was great with good massages and spa facilities. Overall, a recommend, but wish they would upgrade the bed, pillows and bedding to match to overall feeling of the hotel. "

"Overall the hotel was fine and a very unique stay but the heating was like a tap running all night and did little to heat the large room. It could have been cleaner but it did meet basic standards. No facilities to make drinks in room. The evening meal was nice as was breakfast. The views are amazing, we didn’t use the spa so can’t comment. "
