The room was basic but clean, apart from the shower which was mouldy. The general hotel was clean, some stains on the carpets but looked like a leak. Breakfast was good, great selection and all presented really nicely. No coffee or tea in the room, well there were tea bags but no cups! The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate, the view is a lorry park which is quiet at the weekend but on Monday, the lorries use their horns as they arrive and leave the depot. The pool is dangerous. It is green, smells of algae and there is a black scummy line around it. Not safe to swim in there at all. There are no shops nearby, no restaurants and a sandwich menu at this hotel. No public transport nearby either which means if you don't have a car, you rely on very expensive Italian taxis. We stayed two of our 7 nights and left. Very disappointed as it's nowhere near Matera. It's in La Martella.
