"Although the property is a little dated it is clean and very quiet. Located between the two train stations with an approximate 20-25 mins to Meia Praia station. Walkable distance to Lagos town. Although breakfast was available for a price as well as snacks (very limited) and drinks the restaurant advertised was non existent. However across the road is an excellent restaurant Quintal do Peixe which I would highly recommend. Helpful info : Ask for a hair dryer at front desk as they are not in the room. Towels for the pool are available at the front desk for a deposit of 15 euro each but reimbursed on return at check out. Cons: Charge for safe in room. Also nusiance flies by the pool."

Palmares Beach House Hotel - Adults Friendly

"If you are looking for an adult only small hotel near Lagos, this hotel will meet your needs. We had all our breakfasts there and you would find plenty of fresh fruits , cheeses, pastries and hot food, Dinner was excellent and they had a great wine list. What makes them truly special is their staff. They always greet you with a smile and are eager to help you organize your excursions. Best massage I had in a long time. Ask for Maya. The hotel manager was also very responsive to our needs. They have construction next to it and they were transparent about it before our arrival Perfect setup. Best sunrise and sunset! 10 minutes from Lagos, free parking. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return if I come back in the Algarve."

Palmares Signature Apartments - Adults Friendly

"We had a good stay at Palmares overall. The property itself is gorgeous and our Signature Apartment was a huge highlight — spacious, spotless, well designed and really comfortable. We had a two bedroom and the second bedroom was actually separate from the main apartment, which was great for privacy. The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. The location is great, It’s only about 10 minutes from Lagos town, but feels peaceful and exclusive compared to the madness of Old Town, and being so close to Meia Praia was a huge plus. Where it fell short was the 5 star experience. There were a lot of unfinished details that added up. Breakfast was honestly pretty bad — cold food, very little variety and coffee from an automatic machine. For a 5 star resort in Europe, I’d expect much better. There was also A LOT of construction, no gym, and huge cranes obstructing the beach views. They kindly offer golf cart rides toward the beach, but you’re dropped off on a dirt road and still have to walk down to the beach. Overall, good but not great. It definitely didn’t feel 5 star yet, but it seems like they’re still getting everything up and running. The property has so much potential, so hopefully once construction is done and they iron out the details, it’ll be amazing."
