Unique experience, very cool.

Experience was great

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel and certainly not expected at a Hilton property. We were running late in our day and called the hotel to let them know, they said “No problem” see you when you get here. Upon arrival though I was not given the room I booked (Two queen beds), I was given a room with 1 bed. I went up to the desk to ask about it and was told “the hotel is over booked and I arrived late” so I asked “If I would have been here earlier, I would have been given the room I need?” She said “No, you would have been given the room you wanted, not what you need”. I explained that I was traveling with my daughter and we needed two beds. She said “You have a sofa” I replied “A sofa is not a bed” she smirked and “Yea, it kind of is”. I asked what my options are at this point and she replied “Stay in that room, or find another hotel”. I was shocked at the way she spoke to me as I was never rude or demanding, but simply working towards a resolution. So, beware because for some reason they overbook the hotel and then you are apparently on a First come, first served basis. Our annual trip to Pittsburgh to attend a football game will have to be at another property and brand for sure!
