The front desk staff (and valet team) are truly amazing! Just minutes before I was leaving to go to my son’s graduation my glasses broke and the front desk staff were extremely helpful to find crazy glue and basically were just the nicest group ever! The hotel is convenient to everything “Pitt” and our room was wonderful and clean and we even lucked out with a view of the Cathedral of Learning which was a great treat! Highly recommend this hotel! They made Commencement Weekend so enjoyable (even during a snowy weekend when driving was a challenge)! The staff just cared and treated us like family! H2Pitt 💛💙

Great place and awesome breakfast!

Everyone I encountered was amazing through our experience related to our stay. There was an event occurring in the main entry way during our stay and the valet assisted us in locating parking, called the front desk and checked in from the door, they were very informative and helpful, even the building staff were very friendly and helpful helped us with the door on arrival. It would be nice to be able to use valet service, especially since it is paid parking anyways, and also enter through the nicer main lobby rather than a service entrance and padded frieght elevator... I did chose the Penn because of its prestige, location, amenities, and to view/enjoy craftsmanship of the architecture and chandilers specifically (as a former apprentice of the artist). Overall great stay.

Room was in good condition, but no wash cloths stocked in the room. Asked for more cups for the in-room Keurig never given or brought up. Had an excellent view of River and they accomodated us the request to change from City view to river view. Most of the staff was helpful. Consierge clerk at check in could have been more friendly. We were not told that there was no resturant service for the paid breakfast, but given a voucher to use at the "Ground Stop" cafe in hotel. Barista there did a great job! over-all stay was nice but would have liked to have known up front that there was going to be an additional $50 temporary charge on our bill that is to be removed in 7 business days if room inspection was satisfactory.
