"I reserved a room at this property for two nights based on its high customer rating and property descriptions. We arrived at the property around 9pm. The first thing we noticed was tiny black flies everywhere in the room. The bathroom is very small and the sink was leaking water beneath it. The shower water was small in volume. "I’m honestly really disappointed with my stay at this hotel in Rio. The first room we were given was nothing like the photos online and was in really poor condition. It was dirty, had a strong moldy smell, and it genuinely felt like we were put in one of the worst rooms they had available. It was such a frustrating way to start our trip. To their credit, they did move us to another room after we complained, and I appreciate that they made the change. But it’s still hard to get past the feeling that we were initially placed in a room they knew was far below standard. No guest should have to ask just to be given a clean and acceptable room. Another frustrating issue was the housekeeping. Our toilet paper was not refilled unless we specifically asked for it, which is such a basic thing that should be handled automatically. It added to the feeling that the overall service and attention to the rooms was lacking. The only truly positive part of the stay was the breakfast, which was genuinely good every morning, and the busboys were incredibly kind and helpful each time we had breakfast. Even though they changed our room, I’m still left disappointed overall because the first impression and the lack of basic upkeep really affected our trip. "

"The stay was nice. I will say The cleaners didn’t do very well with sweeping the floors. I went to the beach every day and the floors were still sandy after it was “cleaned”. The breakfast was a waste of money. Im still trying to get my money back for the breakfast. You are better off going to the restaurant across the street for breakfast it was better, more fresh, and cheaper. The juice at the hotel breakfast was good . That was the only thing. The fruit wasn’t fresh, i don’t eat meat so i cant tell you how that was. Over all the stay was good , i just want my money back for the breakfast. I only ate there once and i paid for a week. "
