Room didn’t look as it was in the ad. Much smaller filthier. Dirty floors and I found bed bugs. Don’t recommend anyone staying here! The location is nice but the whole facility is neglected.

Location amazing, just a few mins from the cathedral, restaurants and bars. The hotel is an older style hotel, where you still have keys which you give in when you go out. The reception is manned 24/7 so not a worry about getting your key when you return to the hotel. Room wise, some are better than others. My first room

Lage optimal, aber das Hotel wirkt vernachlässigt. Das Personal war oberflächlich, da fehlte mir ein freundliches Lächeln. Mein Zimmer war für mich eine Herausforderung, da der Fensterblick in eine Art Hohlraum mit Ventilatoren führte. Es war sehr kalt im Zimmer und ich musste das Licht im Bad anlassen, da das Zimmer sonst stockdunkel war. Frischluft war nicht möglich, da wie erwähnt die Fenster zu einem Hohlraum führten, was ich auch sehr gruselig fand. Aufgrund des Hotelzustandes und weil ich kein Fan von Continental Breakfast bin, habe ich außerhalb des Hotels gefrühstückt. Für diese eine Nacht habe ich es ertragen, aber nochmal würde ich das nicht zulassen und dann lieber ein teueres Hotel buchen, auch wenn die Lage gut war.

The staff from reception to breakfast was amazing. The ladies up front always remembered who we were and our room number when we returned to the hotel and needed our key. Our only complaint is that the room was incredibly noisy. There is a metro stop in front of the hotel, and ALL night long we could hear the bus/tram coming and going. We could also hear people in the rooms on either side of us and water running in the walls. Aside from the metro stop, the location was great; close to the train station, Duomo and restaurant/shops.

Although a little dated the room and bathroom were big, the bed and pillows very comfortable for me. Heating good; shower always had hot water and a good pressure. Staff on reception excellent and went above and beyond to help me when I was injured in Duomo square!

Brilliant location and good hearty breakfast. 5/5 for that. That said the hotel can do with a makeover - it is quite dated with poor lighting in the room, a broken shower head and no toiletries were supplied. The gentleman manning the reception two days consecutively helped me with hailing a cab, making logistics one less thing for me to worry about. My overall rating would be a 4/5.

We has a great stay at Hotel Rio. It is located in a great part of Milan, just steps from the Duomo and very close to La Scala.The are plenty of restaurants nearby and lots of upscale shopping. The breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable with a large bathroom. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The location is fantastic-steps from the Duomo and metro. The breakfast was good but the seating area is quite cramped. Hotel staff are very nice but the rooms were uncomfortably small and the closest doors touched the bed so impossible to move. The water temperature changed constantly in the shower and the shower head kept dropping. I tripped over the step up into the bathroom when first arriving. Overall, we did not enjoy our stay.
