The house was spotless when we arrived and it immediately felt welcoming. The directions were clear and easy to follow, so getting settled in was no problem at all. We loved how the house had everything we needed, which made the whole trip feel relaxing instead of stressful. The real highlight was the setting. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely beautiful, the kind you stop what you’re doing just to watch. It was the perfect backdrop for a quiet getaway and our family really enjoyed every minute of it. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to unwind.
We had a fantastic time! The house and surrounding area was beautiful. Had privacy but neighbors not to far. Everything we needed and more! The basket with smores stuff was so sweet and thoughtful. We will definitely be back for another stay!
This house was perfect for our quick weekend trip to visit family in the area. Check in was super easy. Everything was clean and super nice! Planning on coming back again next time we are in town!
The cabin was better than expected and very quaint. Loved the wrap around porch and hammock. The area is breathtakingly beautiful. We were amazed at all the cracks and creak sounds the cabin made. Thank you for sharing such a tranquil and beautiful cabin. defindefinitely
Comfortable, relaxing cabin in a private community. We especially enjoyed the porches and fire pit. The kitchen is well stocked. The description on the website is very accurate. We would definitely stay there again.
We loved our short weekend getaway to this cabin. It was so clean and stocked with everything we needed. The amount of outside, private space between the porches and yard were wonderful for playing and relaxing. We are already talking about our next time here. It was perfect in every way!

We had an initial issue trying to figure out the tv but after that all was right again! I believe the cabin exceeded my
expectation. It was roomier than I expected and had everything that we could possibly need for our stay.
Only about 15 minutes from everything but the location was quiet and peaceful. Sitting on the front porch early in the morning was a delight. There is a high probability that we'd consider staying here again!
We loved the home. Location was good. House was pretty and well equipped. Coffee maker had old moldy coffee in it with moldy coffee grounds. Kitchen could have been cleaned much better but the house and owner were fantastic!
This was the perfect property for our family, and within 15 minutes of the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The property was so peaceful and the wrap-around deck has us designing our next home to be built around a wrap around deck! That deck was an incredible feature of the property, and it ended up being where we spent most of our time while on the property. The inside of the house was everything we needed, with a very functional full kitchen to make home-cooked meals when we had time. Plan ahead for grocery’s, or plan time to travel into town because it is a bit of drive to stock up, but the tranquility of the property is well worth it!
2 adults, a teenager, and a 3 yr old were on this trip. This property was an amazing space for the 3 yr old to run around outside and get all his wiggles out. He also enjoyed sleeping in own “cave bed” (the bottom bunk is the most common name for it…hahaha). There was a small bungee line between 2 trees (by the driveway) with swings, a climbing disk, and a climbing ladder (with a broken rung, but still usable). The yard was huge and offered lots of space for cornhole games, hitting the plastic baseballs, playing football, and exercising. The walking, riding, equestrian trail behind the cabin was a bit challenging for the 3 yr old, but he impressively did it. There’s a lot of steep climbs and descents.
I do wish there was a public shoreline to swim at in Lake Adger. We didn’t go to Lake Lure beach because we didn’t want to purchase a canopy for shade. As an alternative, we hiked to the Bradley Falls close by and swam in the water there. We also traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway every other day (we were here for a week)
We encountered the cobwebs mentioned in some of the other posts. I also know that having a small child and allergies brought them to our attention more than it would for most. We spent about an hour cleaning the cabin (wiping down the surfaces, vacuuming the furniture and underneath it, and cleaning the air filters). I have to say that after that our noses were longer stuffed up and it was clean breathing.
That being said, we would stay here again. You can’t
We were in town because our Dad passed away and he wanted to be buried in the mountains of NC. The cabin was absolutely perfect! We were only 15 minutes from oyr family and the church. Our host gave us detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin and all essential information to have a fabulous weekend. We truly loved it!!! The views were a testament to God's beautiful mountain scenery!
House was very clean! Very welcoming and such a cool log cabin. There were seven of us (three kids) and it was very comfortable. Kids had a great time!
The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for - rest and relaxation. We didn't spend too much time outside except for a short hike we took on the nearby trail (lot of steep hills so not for beginners). The cabin was clean and comfortable and the hosts were communicative when needed.
We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Ridge. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. The property is very cozy, and it is a great place to stay when riding at Tryon. Thank you for waiving the cleaning fee and for not leaving a long to-do list before departure! We look forward to returning!
