"This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It has everything you could possibly need— for meal preparation, outdoor enjoyment and staying occupied indoors. The Pickleball court is fantastic! We rent a boat from the local marina and use the dock on the property. Elizabeth is an excellent communicator and rep replies quickly to messages. We will be back again next year!"

"This cabin is a great place for a getaway on a lake! I read other reviews that said it was rustic - it is but with all the amenties you need. Comfortable beds, kitchen with all the things you need, and an excellent sleeping porch facing the water! Our teenagers loved the bunkhouse as well as all the available games. Outdoors, we enjoyed the firepit, beach, raft, and kayaks. The lake is quiet and peaceful too. Troy is a great host and has thought of all the little details for an easy stay. We loved it and hope to come back next year!"

"My wife and I and our adult son stayed 10 nights in July/August for a nearby family gathering. The lodge was beautiful, spacious (bigger than we needed!), clean, comfortable, quiet and very well equipped -- we were easily able to prepare lasagne for 14 in the kitchen. The location is quiet with convenient access to nearby activities and amenities, but it all requires some driving. Unfortunately a combination of heat and Canadian wildfire smoke kept us from enjoying the extensive outside spaces much, but the AC system was a lifesaver. Communication and logistics were seamless.Our only real concern was that the water, though conditioned and tested, smelled a bit off, and left some orange iron stains on white items when we did laundry."

"Jake’s cabin on Grindstone lake is the perfect spot for enjoying the Hayward area. Check-in and contact with the owners were top notch. The cabin itself is clean, up to date and perfect for two people. The lake is crystal clear, not really busy and great for fishing. Thanks!!!"

"Beautiful property. Can't think of a thing the house didn't have readily available. Kids enjoyed fishing every day, and then spent all their cash at the bait shop and candy store in Hayward. The Fishing Hall of Fame and mini golf were great diversions when it was a little too windy for fishing or paddling. Excellent communication with the host throughout. Highly recommend this property for a wonderful lakeside retreat."

"This spacious home had plenty of room for our family of 9 to spread out and have privacy while gathering for meals, talk and games in the great room and family room (billiards!). The beach and lake access at Little Bear Lake was perfect for our paddleboards, kayak and swimming.wish they had a few beach towels available."

"We loved this cabin and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was so clean and had little extras like super fluffy towels. We especially loved the screen porch. We spent so much of our time on the porch playing games, reading, and having fun. It was also pretty warm our last evening there, and the porch provided a little breeze so it wasn’t quite as warm. The only drawback in the summer is that the cabin is not air conditioned, but we knew this when we booked our stay, so we made the best of it. We would definitely book here again! "

"Cabin was conveniently located in town, but had the feel of the Northwoods when on the campground. Strong wifi, clean, cute decorations, snacks, and other conveniences. Bed was comfortable and it was a great night of sleep. "

"It was a taste of cabin living right on the edge of town. It was pretty much within walking distance of anything you needed or even to get to downtown. The cabin was very nice and clean and pretty much has everything you need to enjoy your stay."

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Bars, restaurants, a museum, and the lumberjack show were all within walking distance. I highly recommend this cabin for a perfect getaway."

"Had a wonderful time on Sand Lake! I was initially disappointed that the lake access was across the road, but it was fine. The grandkids know never to cross a road without an adult, so it was a perfect barrier to the lake for them. The sand and shallow water went on forever and they absolutely loved being able to jump off the dock all the way to the end. We didn't have to worry about them taking the floaties too far out and they loved trying to catch minnows. The configuration of the house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it."
