This was my first time visiting this property. We arrived around 11pm and the doors to the lobby were locked. A lady came to a window with a cut out for her to speak. She was very matter of fact, not friendly. When it was my turn, she told me there was a $40 cash deposit. She said it was because people damage the rooms and tvs.. I paid online and was confused because credit cards are usually used for incidentals. I handed her my driver license and credit card and she said that she preferred cash. I had $10 on me and had to get cash the next morning. If it wasn't for the fact that every other hotel in the area was above $200/ night, I would've gone elsewhere. Once we were checked in, I noticed the top blankets were stained. I immediately removed them from the beds and we used our travel blankets. The location is convenient but I'll book wayyyyy ahead somewhere else the next time. Breakfast was usual waffles/cereal/toast/muffins/juice. But the owner sat in the lobby area watching. Very weird. When it was time for me to check out, the lady at the front desk just said, "Thank you". I had to ask for my deposit back. She was going to keep it. I heard another lady ask for her deposit the day before and thought, maybe she forgot but nope, they're hoping YOU forget. NEVER AGAIN.
