A visit to the baroque towns of Modica and Ispica is a must. Equally important is a visit to the Archaeological Park of Cava d'Ispica, which is a long gorge full of caves and archaeological sites. It is a kind of open-air museum with traces dating back thousands of years, from the Bronze Age to the late Middle Ages. The gorge cuts through the landscape over a length of 13 kilometers between Ispica and Modica, is 100 meters deep and half a kilometer wide in some places. If you want to experience even more, you can explore the other baroque towns of the Val di Noto.
