Such a warm friendly welcome and stellar service. They welcomed us immediately and showed us how to access everything. As we had an early departure flight they offered us a breakfast to go bag which was so thoughtful. What a lovely location, and wonderful staff. We will be back!

Great value deal off-season & mid-week, looks quite new. Amenities & cleanliness actually score closer to 4.5 if more precise, due some nitpicks (at least one was easily fixable). Mountain gives beautiful views - terrace is a great place to eat breakfast/a la carte restaurant meals from (covered for shade). Included breakfast buffet great, totally worth it - choice of fruit/cereals/muesli/cooked breakfast (good), several fruit juices/coffee, milk choices including lactose-free milk ("sem lactose" in Portuguese) as well as other non-dairy "milk"s without a special request. Reception spoke enough/good English. Went extra mile when mentioned was my wife's birthday one evening, came out with a little cake with candles (like a big brownie + pretty, decorative icing), plus left another in our room's fridge. Pools are lovely (though covered outdoor warm one was full of little dark-coloured bits of perhaps the wooden boards around/stuff from between the ridges there). So much across 3 linked blocks (A, B, C) with numerous floors but because of all the corridors & going up/down levels in lifts or stairs to move across them to get to the different facilities, can feel like a rabbit warren. But a well signed one (except one area exiting a lift/stairs I ended up unsure which way to go). Nit-picks: - Missing corkscrew/sharp knives, maid got 1 (said should've had, maybe unchecked between guests). - Hairs on shower wall - Limiting fridge layout (removed shelves for wine/any carton)

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast choices. Hotel inside was lovely, needs a bit of renovation on the grounds around the hotel. For the price of stay we were more than happy and would stay again.

Beautiful hotel with great service

Rooms are spacious and clean, service throughout our stay was excellent. Great breakfast - lots of choice and all very fresh. We always enjoy our stay here, this time we had a bit more time to enjoy the pool and pool bar - really lovely facility and very relaxing.

Can I give this establishment 10 stars? I cannot recommend it highly enough! Stay in room B 827. The view is magical. The hotel (and room) is modern, stylish, chic and comfortable. So many vegan options at breakfast 🙏. Super friendly staff. Absolutely will stay here again and recommend to everyone I know.

We stayed here several times, and besides the service is always 5 stars from every staff, the room where we stayed ( B 820) needs repairs done. Skirting boards broken, lampshades needed replacing, wall damaged and in need of a fresh coat of paint. It's a shame. We love this hotel, but it does need a bit of look after.

Greta spa hotel couldn’t fault the facilities. Rooms were also excellent and the staff service. I would r recommend the food in the hotel far better and cheaper options 10 minutes away in Monchique

Nice hotel with lovely staff and great facilities. It is showing its age and a little tired in some areas since our last visit 7 years ago. The hotel has changed hands and in new ownership. Pool and most areas were very clean and tidy. Dining options are limited and expensive so we dine elsewhere but the breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

Very quiet, relaxing and nice open spaces. We had a suite with patio/terrace and it was so nice - a great interior space with a mini kitchen with high end appliances and a giant exterior terrace with lounge chairs. I'd say the only negative was the truly terrible pizza at the on-site pizza restaurant. But that's easy to skip by driving up to Monchique for better food.

Love Monchique resort & spa, clean, staff are very welcoming especially Pedro the guest relations manager. Very big room with 2 bathrooms & a great view with a terrace. Full amenities in the room just missing a washing machine for the clothes. 2 pools & a gym with fitness classes. Beautiful surroundings, great hotel, I would definitely suggest it or even go back, thank you Monchique resort & spa, we loved our stay the Pereira family!

Staff were incredible. Beyond anything have experienced before. Fabulous rooms. Buffet quality and choice great, drinks included, very economical. Local buses not great or regular, don'r rely on them. Staff helped with transport. Amazing spa, with water treatments. Well worth a visit.
