Location is good, especially if you must be near certain government agencies. Otherwise, the Hotel needs a MAJOR renovation. Don't stay here if you are planning a romantic getaway. There are far better options.

I've been staying at Holiday Inns around the world for over 35 years. This is one of the worst, and it's expensive to boot. It damages the Holiday Inn brand name. Amenities. And I mean minimal. Soap, shampoo, paper & pen, tissue paper, proper cups & spoons for coffee. Mid 1980s fixtures, all of which are in desperate need of refurbishment. Sketchy neighbourhood, with people smoking & loitering outside, and staff seem oblivious to it. Plenty of doped up homeless wandering around outside the hotel. Despite all this, the hotel appears to be booked out. I definitely won't be returning.

Strong smell of smoke

The no-smoking rooms smell extremely strongly of smoke. There is no escaping it. All the carpets in the public areas need replacing due to staining. The entire hotel needs a major refurb.

I’ve lived in South America for six years, I stayed in the best hotels, and yes, the hotels have been better, but the customer service in this hotel was very good. It’s hard to find anybody to go out of their way for you, and hear the staff was very friendly. Jorge is one of the lobby guys and he was just all standing. Tremendous customer service. He will probably be the reason I will be back.

I contacted Expedia to shorten my stay within the cancel for free period. Expedia talked to the Holiday inn staff and said they would do it and put a note in the system to do so. Then when I checked in they said the same, even though it still said 4 nights on the reservation. The next day they said they were going to charge me the extra night because it was too late to cancel or shorten the stay.
