"We had the best time for 4th of July long weekend. The house was the best equipped of any cabin I've ever rented. They house came with everything you could have thought of from beach towels to floats. Kitchen had everything from dog bowls to muffin pans anything you needed they thought of. Cabin was small but it was only for sleeping. Extremely quiet & comfortable never slept so good. Outdoor side patio was amazing enjoyed a fire & s'mores. "What a wonderful property! The views were amazing and we enjoyed kayaking nearly every day! The house was easy to get to and is close to the mountain and other outdoor activities. Perfect spot for us to call home while visiting family in the area. The house had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. I highly recommend!"

The owners are so kind, friendly, and thoughtful! I stayed here the night before the eclipse, and because they knew people wanted to leave early the next day to beat the eclipse traffic, they moved up the start of breakfast (poached eggs and bacon hash, yum!) an hour.
The hotel is beautiful and has wonderful views of the surroundings, including the lake, from windows. There is a nice loop around the lake that can be done, and hiking trails nearby.

Always love this location. Very convenient for our trips to Vt. Cell service in general is spotty. I really rely on the WiFi. That needs to be better in this hotel. It was not working while I was there.

The shaker museum is a great stay. It is SO reasonably priced for how nice the rooms are. The linens are all clean, and the mattress was extremely comfortable. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful and everyone is helpful and kind. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want an affordable, safe, comfortable, and clean place to stay. It’s also great obviously for a history buff as there is so much to learn about the Shakers. We will definitely be returning next year. The staff is...
