Because wall is thin and no background noise.so no loud conversation or phone call during quiet time please.You can expect to recharge and restore in our simple yet comfortable studio so you can be ready for your next day’s exciting Hawaii experience. We are centrally located between volcano national park and beautiful Hilo attractions. Add a real hawaii off the beaten path life experience to your trip. Great alternative to a traditional hotel

This is not a luxury resort, this is a wonderful little slice of rural Puna. This was my second stay, and definitely not my last. Don’t expect luxury amenities because that isn’t what this place is. It is a charming little room in the middle of an ohia forest.

Quiet place to stay

It is a great place to stay with minimal accommodations. If you are spending your days adventuring the island, it gives you a place to come back to and get some rest, a shower and a cooler to keep food in so you can save money by not eating out all the time. They provide the ice for free in frozen bottles. They request quiet guests as the rooms are right next to one another. So when you do come back to rest and clean up, you actually can. So you can be ready for the next days adventures where you can be noisy and rowdy. Suggestion, Just try not to bring the party back here with you.

Basic comfort

This is exactly as described. Very simple and very basic. Long well maintained dirt road. The frogs put you to sleep at night because You are in a beautiful Fern forest. Got a little chilly at night but the blankets kept us warm

Lots of Mold / terrible lighting/ dirty carpet with hair all over - so never vacuumed/ shared kitchen with nothing but outdoor refrigerator and a sink - cheap clothing rack with 4 hangers- 2 of them broken/ bathroom shower ran out of hot water after 1 minute and had old vinyl flooring stapled over moldy panels/ picture in ad was totally fake. So big time false advertising. Had to bang on the owners door twice before someone showed me which unit I could enter Felt like this is a flop house for under resourced people and should not be listed for out of towners on vacation. Miles of unlit and unmarked dirt roads to get to place, so thankful for GPS.

We arrived and found the room, but no keys were available to enter the room, and no one was available to help. It sounded like there was a cat trapped in a room, crying loudly. We left and didn't feel safe to return or stay.

Regenwald Erfahrung ist richtig

Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich was besonderes. Wir sind im Dunkeln angereist und man hatte das Gefühl ins Nirgendwo irgendwo in den Regenwald zu fahren, vor allem da man auch andere Unterkünfte aufgrund des Bewuchses nicht oder kaum sieht. Das Gebäude selbst ist aus einfachsten Material, wie Wellblech zusammengebaut. Wenn man die Treppen außen raufgeht steht man direkt im überdachten, aber offenen Flur. Vom Flur selbst gehen die einzelnen Zimmer direkt weg, welche man verschließen kann. Wir durften uns eines der freien Zimmer aussuchen. Im Flur ist ein großes Waschbecken und eine große Gefriertruhe. In der Gefriertruhe sind Flaschen mit gefrorenen Wasser, welche für die große Kühlbox in den Zimmern genutzt werden kann. Im Zimmer selber muss man damit klar kommen, dass die Toilette doch etwas "offen" ist. In unseren Zimmer war die Abtrennung mit einem Duschvorhang, was nicht für jeden etwas ist. Wie in der Beschreibung ist alles sehr hellhörig, was aber keine Überraschung war. Die anderen Gäste haben, wie wir auch, darauf geachtet nicht zu laut zu sein. Nachts ist es aufgrund der zahlreichen Tiere bzw. Insekten richtig laut, wer das nicht mag, sollte Oropax dabei haben. Die Sauberkeit ist okay, könnte aber durchaus besser sein. Vorhänge vor dem Fenster gibt es nicht in jeder Unterkunft. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Ein paar Nächte kann man hier auf jeden Fall verbringen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich!
