"ELaiolithos has the owner Helen’s stamp all over it. Helen and Pamela were very welcoming and provided us great local food including homemade jams and smoothies, Greek yogurt, salads with local cheese, and really tasty cocktails. They made sure we were never hungry! The atmosphere is very intimate and we chatted with the staff and other guests throughout our stay. Helen also gave us lots of tips on where to go and what to do nearby and throughout Naxos. There’s good hiking nearby the property - throughout the valley where Helen’s brother’s sheeps graze for more easygoing hiking or to Mount Zas a short drive away for more challenging hiking. The staff has lots of attention to detail and helps tailor your stay. They brought fresh melon to our room after our more strenuous hike and offered us a complimentary massage. We divided our stay in Naxos into two parts - 2 nights at ELaiolithos and 2 nights closer to the beach. I’d strongly recommend this. Although beaches are accessible from ELaiolithos, probably 30 min drive, we really enjoyed exploring the inland part of Naxos - the mountains, villages (Chalki, Filoti, Apeiranthos), and local food and culture. "Ostria Inn is a beautiful and relaxing place. The room and bathroom were very attractive and the bed was very comfortable We did not enjoy the restaurant so much, but maybe we ordered wrong - also our waiter couldn’t speak English. "

"My wife and I stayed two weeks at Astrid's little cottage, which is one of four. Astrid and her husband kindly gave us plenty of vegetables, bread and fruit throughout our stay. They even hosted a fabulous dinner of goat and potatoes with lovely salads, wine and raki, all from the farm! Astrid is a highly recommended local historian of Naxos, and she gave my wife and I a lesson in the island's history during the archaic and classical period. I'd highly recommend the cottage. Very close to the sea and in a quiet part of the island."
