Really good property to book out. Good communication with owners when needed

The hotel has been beautifully refurbished and the interiors now match the charm of the grounds. However, the service falls short of expectations. While the staff were really friendly, service was slow, and several dishes were mixed up at both dinner and breakfast. Our room was drafty, the shower temperature was inconsistent, and noise from the room above persisted late into the night. We slept terribly because of the stomping and TV from the adjacent room. We also noticed a small amount of water dripping from the ceiling near the fireplace in the morning. Overall, a pleasant stay but not a luxury experience. With improved service and maintenance, it could rival properties like Babington House or Soho Farmhouse.

Breakfast was good, but would have liked some fried eggs. good variety otherwise and lots of drinks choices.

Very nice room, but had to run the water for a very long time to clear the brown colour enough to get a bath, so for peace of mind, bought a large bottle of water to make a cup of tea. Booked on Expedia and seemingly paid more for room only than a direct booking cost with breakfast, but it’s a lesson learned about Expedia. In all, a decent quiet room with good parking.

Really beautiful hotel and room. Service was excellent, room was huge and well appointed. Particularly loved the Penhaligon toiletries and the yoga mat!
