Breakfast area closed at 9 am and my daughter and I were there at 8:50 am and we were told things like pancake batter was gone. Machine for juice and water were tuned off and turned back on for the one type of juice that was left and water. I felt like this was a huge inconvenience by the staff member. I don’t think clean up and not providing food anymore should take place until a little after 9 if that is the cut off time.

Everything about our stay was perfect! I took 3 teen girls for a weekend trip and we had a great time! Plenty of room for everyone to get ready at the same time, huge patio right on the beach, and far enough away from the “downtown” area that the beach is not crowded at all! We will definitely be back :)

The stay was comfortable. We love the area and come every year.
Our vehicle was towed from the property on the day of check out. The parking pass was sitting in the car and not hanging. The parking lot was not full and only had a handful of cars.
I don’t like that they do not take the vehicle information for the parking. This made for a very stressful checkout day.

The room was uber clean, and onsite staff was super helpful and friendly. This place was a definite great stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for minimal interaction and a peaceful place to stay in Surf City. Beach was also like 20 feet away!!

Fantastic ocean beach view from the balcony! Could see Wilmington buildings a few miles to the South. Shell Island Resort is at the end of the beach road! Walk the beach 1.5 miles northward the the ocean "river" flowing into the salt water marsh...Amazing!
