All the services provided was absolutely excellent , staff was extremely friendly , including receptionist, the location was extremely ideal and accessible , the breakfast extremely amazing as was the lunch . Would definitely recommend . Only thing i would mention is that the disabled access is sometimes blocked by parked cars even though there is a clear sign by the hotel which was little bit difficult for me as a wheelchair user as they block the wheelchair user ramp

This hotel clearly does not meet the Accor or Ibis standards. Simple as that. The hotel bathroom was dirty, the carpets also. Overally, the hotel is tired and in need of renovation. Check in was very slow with no explanation of why it took 4 people working together to check us in. Breakfast is pointless as the choice is literally 7 options, 3 of which cereal. Although omelette is on demand. I stayed in an Ibis Budget in the early 2000's. This hotel is still that ...

I am sad to say that while it was my fault for leaving my AirPods in the room, I subsequently emailed the hotel 3 times over 3 days, each with no reply. Not even a “we didn’t find them” or “sorry we can’t send it to you.” For a chain hotel I am disappointed at the lack of decency. Beware of the integrity of this hotel’s staff.

The personal behavior was excellent—very friendly and warm. I even arrived earlier than the check-in time, and they still checked me in. I checked in almost four hours before the normal time. During the four nights I stayed at the hotel, everything was really good. The floor where my room was located was quiet, and the room was clean. Everything was great. Access to public transportation was relatively good, considering that public transport in Muscat is not very strong. However, the hotel’s location was about a 20-minute walk from the bus station, which really helped me get around the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Property was located in good area, close to several malls and shopping areas Rooms very small, hard to move around. Poor management, first day I arrived used sink ,it was plugged, hardly drained, brought it to their attention, nothing happened. TV did not work the whole duration of stay. They didn't care about these issues. Will not stay here again.

Unsatisfactory housekeeping

Carpets in the room has not been vacummed for an extended period of time. The toilet had urine smell. The Hosuekeeping incharge Christine was informed of the circumstances and it was marginally rectified but Christine was neither apologetic about the shortcomings.

Muscat Ibis

It was very clean and comfortable, the reception staff were extremely helpful and very efficient. They will print boarding passes etc for you. Breakfast was very good and very reasonable, again the staff were extremely nice. It had very good free wifi. There was always a normal taxi waiting outside. It is a 3 minute walk to a hospital/clinic that does PCR Testing (c£36) and it is about a 5 minute walk to a very big shopping mall. The electric plugs are standard UK plugs everywhere in Oman. There are a cluster of shops 5 mins away that include local restaurants, coffee shops, McDonalds, Burger King and a Shell petrol station that has a supermarket attached. All Shell petrol stations in Oman seem to have a McDonalds and a supermarket attached. They also seem to have an ATM nearby as does the one near the Ibis. I would not hesitate to stay at the Muscat Ibis again. There were no bad points on my trip.
