Great choice, comfortable rooms, good location

Just as advertised, the hotel is really great, rooms are spacious and fairly modern. TV have HDMI pass-through if you're interested in watching your own content, but an Apple TV or Chromecast would be appreciated to make it even more useful. Staff is super friendly. Ordered room service at 2am and food was great. Parking is available for free, but the basement has a weird layout that is very tight. Would stay here again without a hassle.

Review of Royal Tulip Muscat

Overall, my stay at Royal Tulip Muscat was a very positive experience. The receptionist and all other staff members were friendly, welcoming, and professional. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and the breakfast buffet was delicious and diverse. However, I had an unfortunate experience during my final hour at the hotel. A staff member’s phone call to my room and the timing of the call led not to misunderstanding from my side, as they wannet me to believe. Despite this incident, I would definitely consider booking here again, as the hotel overall provided a great standard and service.

I was given a room with the shower had no curtain or even a border. The water falls on the bathroom floor. Then it took more time than necessary to get a new room. The new room did not smell nice, and had a broker shower stand. It was not well maintained.

Beautiful hotel, with good facilities including a rooftop area with a pool and bar (bar closed during Ramadan, as expected. Main issue for me was the staff, some were fabulous - the men on the door were super helpful. However during taking my Iftar in the hotel restaurant, I went to reception the day before to book, and was told I didn’t need to, so I hadn’t booked but explained to the man on the door - he said it was no issue and wrote down my room number - another member of staff interrupted me eating to tell me I needed to pay at the end, which I already knew and it was strange for him to do this as this is normal everywhere. I felt like he was making assumptions of me. I did not see him do this to anyone else who arrived as walk-ins either… And then when you check out of the hotel they make you wait around after while their staff check your room before allowing you to leave. I’ve never had this experience anywhere before and it felt like they were judging us to be bad people. Bizarre and uncomfortable behaviour, surely when they have our card details on file it should be ok just to leave as they can charge for damages, like all other hotels

Great hotel! Well cleaned and staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to park your car. Just about a 15 minutes drive from the airport. And some good food options nearby. I thought the rooms were spacious and the daily cleaning was up to par. There is no issues with noise or anything like that. The one thing that could be improved-if the fitness center stayed open a little bit later maybe until 11 or midnight but 10 PM is a bit early. Great stay!! would recommend.
