"This hotel is nothing short of excellent. It was very affordable. Our room was huge and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and so helpful with everything. We were not far from restaurants, shopping and a mini mart. I’d come back to Quito just to stay here."

"Hi highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel near Old Town Quito. Mario and Blanco were fantastic hosts from helping us during our very late arrivals, to a wonderful breakfast each morning, helping us with suggestions on where to go in Old Town, making our dinner reservation & transport to the airport. All were perfect! "

"The hotel is just one block from the main square, which makes it easy to visit and enjoy Quito's historical monuments at a leisurely pace. The hotel staff is very attentive and helped us coordinate transfers to and from the airport, as well as helping us with tours of both Quito's historic center and an excursion to one of the volcanoes. "Hotel Casa Montero is a solid choice if you want to stay in the historic center of Quito. The entry courtyard is tranquil and inviting, and the beds are quite comfortable. A particular bonus was the size and functionality of the bath/shower -- really impressive! The staff was fantastic -- very kind and helpful. Overall, I had a great time here!"
"The breakfast was great! A different fresh juice each morning, a croissant, granola and yogurt, with a small bowl of fruit. Coffee & espresso was also great! "

"A wonderful experience… The staff was so helpful… I actually left my cell phone in a taxi and they were able to determine what taxi and have the driver bring it back. Above and beyond the normal service… Thanks again."
"The location is excellent, and the hotel itself is fantastic—more of an Airbnb-style setup than a traditional stay. It’s within easy walking distance of all the top spots in Old Town, including the Basílica del Voto Nacional, Independence Square, and the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco. I’d definitely stay here again if I ever return."

"This was one of the best hotels we have stayed. It was so clean, staff was extremely helpful and friendly all along the way. Fresh bread daily and stocked fridge. So personal and very welcoming. Recommendations for restaurants and shopping were spot on. I would highly recommend to anyone especially with a family. "
