We had such a great stay! The front desk staff went above and beyond—they were able to accommodate our luggage when we arrived and again when we left and they even let us check in early, which was such a lifesaver after a long tiring trip. The hotel was spotless, in a fantastic location, and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Truly made our visit so much easier and more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The Igreja de São Roque was the earliest Jesuit church in the Portuguese world, or anywhere else. It served as the Society’s home church in Portugal for over 200 years, before the Jesuits were expelled from that country.
It was one of the few buildings in Lisbon to survive the 1755 Earthquake relatively unscathed. It was designed in the “auditorium-church” style specifically for preaching, containing a number of chapels, most in the Baroque style of the early 17th century. The most notable chapel is the 18th-century Chapel of St. John the Baptist
