Jal Mahal is a good property but the service from the Staff needs to improve. Reception - seemed like no one was bothered about the checkin. They seemed very busy muti tasking and not concentrating on one customer. Felt not valued and looked like they were doing a favor. Breakfast was not included in the package as orginally chosen on Expedia. To manually include that and tell me the additional charges, I had to wait forever. No one introduced the room to explain Wifi, TV settings, hot water etc. I had to follow up couple of times with the reception on the wifi password. AC kept fluctuating often. Post 9:00 PM, there was no support provided from the reception. Hand towels not provided. Restaurant - they give the menu but whatever I ordered was not available (Bar Menu). Food - starters were served before soup and we had to send it back. Items were missing from the order and we had to follow up. Late servicing and no one bothered to give the menu or check for order unless we called them. Breakfast - tea / coffee / fresh juice / few items under food was over and we waited forever for it to be filled and finally walked out it. Second day skipped breakfast even though we had paid for it. Overall, i was disappointed with the experience and I would not return to Jal Mahal.

Not a great experience

Service was poor. I was charged for breakfast where my booking included it. When I asked hotel staff why I am charged for it they rudely said deal with expedia. I had checked the same thing while check-in they said its included. Most of the staff cannot speak english properly. Rooms were not clean.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures here! The quality of the facilities, furniture, linens were all sub par. The room/bathroom we got looked nothing like what is shown in the pictures.

Value for money

Hotel was easy to find. We were traveling in a group of 8. Check-in was easy and fast. And Rooms size was above Average. Hotel was neat and clean and food was amazing. A little expensive but surely worth every penny. I would recommend this hotel in this budget as the best one.

Our stay was pleasant. Staff was polite and helpful. Very peaceful location. Room cleanliness needs improvement. Beds were not clean and were roaches in one of the rooms.

Nice property, food was good and tasty.

Food we ordered from als carte was good , staff was pathetic specially at reception . They don't have any curteousy to ask guests for water at least , have to wait for an hour to get the room .

It was a good stay at jalmahal. There is a lot of scope for improvement though. Mainly the buffet spread in the morning.

Not maintained

The hotel is not maintained. Food quality served in their restaurants is pathetic. I was not able to eat it at all. Morning free breakfast was served cold and was having no options other than Idli , vada and dosa. Bathrooms condition were not good. They don't even have the hot water and flush tank was not working. The outside view of garden and kids playing area is good but not worth visiting it as similar facilities is available in other resorts at much cheaper rate.

Nice property, but not well trained staff.

Try choosing someother property in mysore. No value for money. The food is just average. The property is small for a resort. Practically, you can find fault in everything you see and feel around. It feels as if somethings are done just for the heck of it. Maintenance company is terrible.

nice resort at a silent place

The room is good. Ambience is good. Pool and gym were nice. Greenery maintained. Food acceptable. Things I didn't like- Could pick out dirty cutlery on both days of my stay. Food was good, service relatively slow- possibly due to far placed kitchen. Considering it's far from city, no modes of hotel communications for even pick up and drop. The staff was confused about billing, not having considered the advance paid online- did not create non sense though in resolving matters quickly. Would recommend increasing pool timings. Overall had a good time. I suppose they can rectify the fallacies.
