Lakeside cottage overhanging the water, beautiful window views across the lake

Lakefront cottage with kitchen and balcony
Spring is in the air! Kickstart your summer with a visit to the lake! Or, plan a mid-summer vacation when the cottage is great for swimming and soaking in the sun. There is a patio fire pit on the deck for chilly spring days or starlit nights. Come relax for a few days! It's the perfect place to vacation or mix up your online job location! (we have strong & reliable internet)! :) Spring is in the air! Kickstart your summer with a trip to the lake! It's the perfect place for a peaceful getaway, or even to mix up your work-from-home/quarantine views (we have strong and reliable internet!). Summer dates are almost completely booked, but we still have decent availability for spring and late summer/fall, all beautiful seasons to visit the cottage.

The cottage overhangs the edge of the lake with an expansive 20'x24' water level deck that you can swim or kayak from, and a large second story deck which makes you feel like royalty as you view nature and the lake from above. Both decks are ideal for an outside meal, barbecuing, yoga, reading, family time, or just enjoying the serenity of nature and the lake. Our recent remodeling has kept some of the character of this 1933 summer home. The cozy cottage sleeps up to six people, making it perfect for a vacationing couple (or two) or a family. It has a medium size bedroom with a queen size bed, and a small bedroom with a full size bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a living room with large french doors that open onto the upper deck with magnificent views of the lake. On the lower level is the living/recreation room (including laundry machines) which opens onto the water level deck. There are always areas on the deck to be in the shade if needed. There are two small parking spaces that will fit a maximum of two cars.

Kayaks and a canoe are provided for your use at no additional charge. There is also a Huck Finn style raft to sit on or swim from during the summer, or to untie and float around on. We have internet, a DVD player, a TV with Netflix and Amazon prime provided, and indoor games. If you choose, we have a paddleboard rental for only $20.

We also have a massage therapist that you can schedule a massage with, right by the lake. Also, Paola is from Peru and can offer you latin dance lessons at the cottage! And I, Molly, am a photographer (Molly Mia Photography) if you are interested in a photo session while you're here.

The cottage is removed from noise and bustle, and the quiet and beautiful lake makes it a really fun place to enjoy being part of nature. It is still just a 10 minute drive from Mystic-- a favorite tourist town, 5 area wineries, the Connecticut Shoreline, and 5 minutes from Foxwoods casino. There is also a small, organic farm stand that sells vegetables at the beginning of your street (only during the summer and fall).

Great getaway
Booked the cottage as a little getaway, just from home. Loved that it is pet-friendly, Oreo loved looking out the window at the water, birds, ducks as much as we did, we even saw an eagle fly by a couple of times. The cottage was clean, cozy and comfy. We experienced every weather condition there is...cold & sunny, warm & sunny, cold & snowy, cold & rainy...but through it all we enjoyed our stay. We explored Mystic, Stonington, Foxwoods and the Tangier outlets; everything close by. I'm pretty easy-going but a few things are important to me- comfy bed, good water pressure in the shower, ability to contact host if necessary (which we never really had to do, but could have if necessary), easy check in/out and location. This lovely cottage checked off all my requirements. We would love to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the lake- kayaks, swimming, outdoor activities. Perhaps we will!!! Thank you Paola, Molly & Bobby for opening your beautiful home to us.

5/5 Excellent

Great Cabin overlooking the pond
We loved the stay at at the cabin on the pond. It was perfect for us and the location is fantastic. We visited the 2nd week of March so it was still cold outside but the cabin was comfortably toasty. Wish we could come back in the summer, the lake looks great.

5/5 Excellent

Lovely lake getaway!
We had such a nice time at Molly and Bobby's place! To start, they were lovely hosts - very easy to communicate with, very clear about check-in process, and provided a ton of suggestions about the area and things to do. The house itself is so picturesque - right on the water with such a quiet, serene setting. The house is cozy and was more than accommodating for three adults and our dog. Such an easy drive into Mystic, where we enjoyed a few great meals and some shopping. We came in the winter but definitely want to go back in the summer to take advantage of the swimming, kayaks and canoes. We can't wait for our next stay!

Loved This Cottage!!
This place is the best!! Its location on the lake is perfect, and it's quiet with plenty of privacy. The owners are the nicest people! Would highly recommend to couples or families!! Definitely coming back when it's warmer!

4/5 Good

Great getaway
It was a great relaxing cottage stay! You had plenty of options for things to do in the area and the property managers were very helpful with anything we needed. Besides the view, the best part was that it was quiet and private but only ten minutes away was the casino! Perfect little retreat for anyone.
