All-inclusive Connecticut hotels are great for families who need a little more out of an ordinary vacation. You'll find hotels in Hartford and the surrounding cities that offer swimming pools and water slides for the kids, boutiques and day spas for the adults, and everything in between. If you're looking for something a little more private and secluded, consider staying in a hotel in the middle of a forest or park with gorgeous views overlooking the trees and hills. When you're traveling with a group of friends, look for hotels in Connecticut with nightclubs and those close to bars to keep the party going all night long. Here at Expedia.com, you'll find cheap flights to Connecticut and everything else you need for a perfect vacation.

    When to Visit

The climate in the state varies from wind, ice, and temperatures in the freezing range during the winter to bright sunny days and temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s in the summer. If you don't mind wearing a few extra layers and snuggling up close with your partner, you can enjoy sledding, skiing, and riding in a horse-drawn carriage during the winter. If you're not a fan of the cold, plan a spring or summer getaway. Spend your days wandering through the botanical gardens and checking out the flowers in bloom during the spring or lounging on the beach and feeling the sun beat down on your shoulders in the summer.

What to Do During Your Stay

Whether you love to ski, hike, or sight-see, Connecticut offers something you'll love. Stamford is home to the professional soccer team The New England Force, the Terry Connors Ice Rink, two public golf courses, and Cummings Park, one of the state's largest public beaches. The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts, Elizabeth Park & Rose Garden, and the Riverfront Recapture and Park are just a few of the top attractions in Hartford. You can also cheer on one of the professional sports teams that call the state home, including the Hartford Dark Blues, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and Connecticut Suns. Multiple auto races take place at Lime Rock Park in Salisbury as well.

You can also look for luxury hotels that have game rooms filled with all those games you loved as a child.

    Connecticut Geography

Though Connecticut is the third smallest state based on land size, it is one of the most densely populated states in the country and in New England, with a population of more than 3.5 million residents. Located on Long Island Sound, the state boasts a number of beaches with both soft sandy shores and more rocky and hilly shores. Though Hartford and Stamford rank as the two largest cities in the state, Connecticut is also home to some quieter and more peaceful communities, including Granby and New London. The highest peak in the state is Bear Mountain, which is a popular attraction among hikers and campers. No matter what side of the state you wish to see, visit Expedia.com and start planning your trip to Connecticut today.

    "Cute classic hotel..."
We usually stay at reroof inn, this place is 100% better. Kind of classic look to it. Over all very clean and quiet. Kids loved it. The free breakfast was believe it or not delicious. Will definitely stay there again if in town. Great price too...

"Nice place to stay in downtown Hartford."
A short stay made easy by the front desk staff - I believe her name was Katana. She was very helpful and polite. Decent breakfast included in Club Room, but Lounge itself was closed when we tried to go there.

    "Nice hotel close to airport"
Staff went out of their way to be helpful, rooms were fine and breakfast was the usual. Shuttle was timely and even took me to car rental agency in morning (rather than delivering me to the airport to catch another shuttle back to car rental area). This motel is undergoing a major reconstruction but this created no disturbing morning noise since its in a totally different wing of rooms currently being used. It was excellent value and very convenient to late night airport arrival.

"Nice Hotel - walking distance to Mystic SeaPort"
We Booked a room that had 2 double beds and also a sofa bed. This was perfect for our family size, having 2 kids along. Room size was very good, and it was very handy to have a fridge in the room. Strange that the bathroom sin was actually outside in the room rather than in the bathroom. Room was easy to cool and heat when needed. Overall a quite room, however if you have one with a connecting door, you can easily hear too much from the next room through it. Not a problem, just an observation! Connectivity to the TV screen was excellent - connect your own video player or anything - very useful with the kids as main TV program selection was quite limited. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of food and variety, and the staff could not be more helpful. Pool was smaller than I thought it would be, but still very good. Plentiful supply of towels out there and the water temperature was excellent. Not sure if its heated or not, but good for an outdoor pool. Parking was free and plentiful. Overall, an excellent choice for a family as a base to visit Mystic Seaport and surrounding areas. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance too, as is the Aquarium and the Village. Final check out price was as stated when I booked it - no nasty extras or surprises!

"Nice Hotel in Downtown New Haven"
Hotel in downtown New Haven was convenient to meeting the next day. Room was relatively small but adequate. Quiet despite facing the street, next to the breakfast room and the atrium lobby. Bed was comfortable though on the soft side. Free Wifi service was good. Breakfast buffet had eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, etc and was very good but had only Orange Pekoe tea, no selection of others. Paid parking was across the street in a garage. Price was reasonable. Only real negative was one of 2 elevators was being repaired and that resulted in longer than expected waits.
