Rustic Luxury Lakefront Cabin in Beautiful Wooded Surroundings

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was great I loved the rocking chair made me feel like I was back home with my grand parents. Watching the sun come up and all the sounds. My kids and grandkids loved it there city folks and not been in the country. Everyone loved the interior of the house. The price was great compared to hotel rooms for 10 people and the great outdoor view. The rooms were clean and the kitchen worked great for us. i know the host would have been there for us but not needed. loved watching the the sun come up over the lake great view."

Courtyard by Marriott Somerset

10/10 Excellent

"We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Somerset. Our room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. It was so convenient to have the microwave, minifridge, and coffee maker. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional, and we appreciated the parking close to the outer doors near our room. We plan to stay again when we return to Somerset."

THE Lily Pad - Floating Lake House with Private Dock

8/10 Good

"It was a nice stay. AT&T does not work in area therefore there is no way to use the golf cart service easily. Can get on WiFi in cabin but phone only worked in cabin. No way to call for service from parking lot. A actual phone to pick up and call someone would be great at the top of the dock. It is a long walk to pack your things from the parking lot. I highly suggest you bring a wheeled cart to put your things in and strollers for kids or pet. It was in the 90’s during our stay. Most of the staff was great & friendly. 8/10 rating"

Prather Place, Spacious, Deck And View, Entertaining Basement, Minutes to Marina

8/10 Good

"The house is lovely and well suited for a large group. There are a ton of activities in the basement for older kids and adults. They were also toys and books for children in the family room. There is a huge amount of storage space around the house and beds were very comfortable. The views were outstanding. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the deck due to very hot temperatures. We sat outside one evening. The cushions were a bit worn and so was some of the furniture. The deck needs to be stained. The supplies were reasonable. It would’ve been nice to have a second big skillet for cooking. Several of the pans and cookware were worn and needed to be replaced. It is not an ideal central location to activities. It is a bit further drive to the Cumberland Falls and other activities. It does not have lake access from the property. Nice sized beaches were further away. The smoke detector alarm went off at 2:00 AM. The host did not respond to our call until the next morning. We ended up researching what to do. It gave us guidance on how to clean the device which stopped the alarm from beeping. Everyone including two small children were wKen by the load and piercing alarm. We could not get back to bed for hours. Hostess response was not ideal. No apology for the inconvenience. Despite the beautiful interior of the house and spacious layout with beautiful views , we would not stay there again."
