“When we booked this place we were expecting from the description on expedia a hotel in a resort with all the facilities described. Unfortunately for us it was a suburban 2 bed unit nothing like the description. The property needs maintenance and a good clean. Some lights not working blinds were disgusting tiny bathroom cobwebs everywhere and many crawling insects. Unable to get local tv stations. Extremely disappointed for the money we paid. “The Sportslander is just what I expected, an older motel that had all the basics covered. The room was older style, clean and on the end of a 10 day straight run of over 40 deg temps the pool and aircon did the job, the bed was comfy, there was no noise and had a good night sleep. For a budget one night stay, it did the job very well. ”

“The overal set up & facillities are not really desirable, bit dirty, especially the cup(with coffee marking) the blaket look dirty...Facillities are very cheap. Hot water and cold water tap are not well controllable. ”

“ I had a concerning experience during our stay. The room doors shut very quickly and forcefully, which can be dangerous—especially for children. Unfortunately, my daughter’s finger got stuck in the door. Thankfully, she wasn’t injured very badly, but it was a very scary moment for us. I strongly recommend the hotel consider installing soft-closing mechanisms or safety features to prevent such incidents in the future. This would make the environment much safer for families with young……

“This is a late 70’s early 80’s style motor inn that will surprise you with the cleanliness of the rooms and the close location to the centre of Echuca. A short 2km walk and you are in town, there nice cafes closer than that and the staff are helpful. Represents great value for money”
