Great location for walking Naples

Not a conventional lobby entrance, but wonderful front desk staff. Our room was great with a comfortable bed.

I had a wonderful stay at The Carten in Naples, its hidden little place just steps away from the port. The views of the city and the castle was absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. The room itself was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury — from the jetted tub and waterfall shower with an added oversized rain shower head to the incredibly comfortable bed that made it hard to leave in the morning. However, what truly made the experience special was the gracious host, who went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and even served me the best cappuccino I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Naples!

Not a Hotel but Luxury rooms

These are Luxury rooms. Entrance is a big downside, and then access to 2nd floor. Once you are on 2nd floor, then you feel better. The room was good and clean. But thunderstorm in the night brought up some of its deficiencies, like rain water came inside and its traditional green windows were making noise, i could not sleep well. The receptionist and owner were great, i must say. So in Summary, it is not hotel but luxury rooms only. It has good access to main landmarks, and big applause for the receptionist she is great.

This is not a hotel and as said in previous comments are “luxury” apartments. Photos were deceiving. Place was hard to find in a very old building. Room was clean and spacious though. Did not like the style of the bathrooms.

The room was lovely with a briliant view, i didnt like the fact that there wasnt much of an entrance to the hotel, could have done with a more visable sign at the front of the building. However the staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was great!

This is not a hotel in any sense of the word. The description on Hotels.com was not true. We are long time customers of Hotels.com and trust in your ability to ensure the information provided in the 'overview' is accurate. We have traveled a lot in Europe and this was the worst experience we have ever had. Our stay began with us not being able to find the entrance. You had to enter a gate and then walk through a courtyard that can only be described as "gritty' and take an elevator to the 2nd floor - walk up 8 very steep steps to a room with a desk (which doubles as the bar). No signage directing you until the 2nd floor. The key needed to get in and out of the gate to the street was very difficult to use and it took us 15 minutes to figure out how to get out of the gate. Thankfully, when we came back from dinner the gate was open. The only positive thing I can say is that the woman at the front desk was very friendly.

Room was a cool idea, but poorly executed. Lots of mold in the shower/steam room and along the edges near it in the room. Check in was a hassle communicating with the front desk employees via whats app or text. Provided breakfast was store bought and coffee machine made. Not terrible, but not the best.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Carten in Naples. There was no lobby, and I had to pick up the keys at a nearby gelato shop, which felt very unprofessional. The property had no elevator, so I had to carry all my luggage up several flights of stairs. The room had no view, which was misleading compared to the profile pictures. They made it seem like a hotel, but it turned out to be just an apartment setup, with none of the amenities or services I expected. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures at all. Please do not book here!!! It was false advertisement all the way around. I'm thinking they photoshopped these pictures. No room has a view of the castle, the bed and couch was hard and also had stains on it. Don't waste your money!!!

First from check in you can’t find the place there a small Sognefjord amid other signs so had to call twice. Lady come down then took us across the road to accomodation On the first floor so very noisy . Place is dirty and the bed is terrible it’s bowed on the middle so you head and legs are higher then your body .there’s a big jacuzzi which we didn’t want need or use which wasn’t in any descriptions Breakfast delivered every morning is cold and salty but better then nothing Give this place a miss from my experience well at least the room on first floor

The only good thing about this property was the location. To begin with there is no proper “reception”. When we arrived at 8pm to check in, we were sent a message to go to a nearby restaurant to check in and when we did go to restaurant half the staff didn’t know what we were asking about and only one man knew what we meant by needing to check in but he was so busy doing his actual job which was to serve customers at the restaurant that we had to wait for him to get some free time. They took our breakfast order and confirmed timing etc but completely forgot to bring it to us in the morning and when we asked about it, they said someone had forgotten to write it down! Very very strange stay.

L’esperienza è stata piacevole. L’hotel gode di un ottima pozione rispetto al centro ed è collegato benissimo con la metro alla stazione centrale. Strategico per potersi rinfrescare tra le attività della mattina e del pomeriggio. Stanza in buone condizioni e pulizia anche di un buon livello. B&B in posizione eccellente: 200 m dalla fermata municipio, 500 m dai quartieri spagnoli e a 5 passi dal molo. Non possiede un parcheggio proprio ma nei dintorni ci sono almeno 4/5 garage a pagamento. Se volete avventurarvi nella ricerca di un parcheggio per strada intorno ce ne sono diversi. Siamo stati accolti da una ragazza molto gentile e simpatica alla reception. La camera che abbiamo prenotato si trova in un altro edificio rispetto al Carten. La stanza è in realtà un mini appartamento: all'ingresso si trova l'angolo caffè con macchina con cialde, bollitore d'acqua, the e tutto il necessario per prepararsi un caffè. Ci sono sgabelli su cui accomodarsi per gustare la colazione che vi serviranno in camera. Poi un piccolo bagno (la porta non si chiude a chiave), un bel letto comodo, vasca idromassaggio comodissima e bagno turco. Va un po' migliorata la pulizia del bagno e sistemati dei particolari della stanza (tipo il paralume della lampada e il rivestimento del letto). Come detto all'inizio la stanza è dislocata in un altro edificio quindi la colazione verrà servita in camera all'orario che concorderete con la receptionist.

Jättetrevligt mottagande av kunnig personal. Visades runt i rummet och fick svar på det frågor vi hade om omgivningarna. God frukost levererat till rummet. Lagom balkong med utsikt över lilla torget och castel nouvo. Bra läge, gångavstånd till det mesta och tunnelbana och bussar precis utanför. Här bor vi gärna igen.

Non si tratta di un hotel: la struttura è composta da tante stanze/appartamenti distribuiti in differenti zone. La colazione, non sempre rispondente alla richiesta, viene servita in camera perchè non è presenta una sala colazioni. Unica cosa interessante di questa struttura è la centralità: proprio vicino a via Toledo e i Quartieri Spagnoli. Ogni giorno viene chiesto se si vogliono le pulizie della stanza: non sono riuscito a capirne il motivo. In un hotel in genere le pulizie vengono fatte a prescindere.
