"This is our second trip to the Outrigger, and it was once again really lovely. Most of the things I didn't like had to do with the excessive prices and fees that guests are charged. Things I liked *Facilities and rooms are well-maintained, modern and clean *Spacious room overlooking the ocean, with all the amenities you need (fridge, hair dryer, nice-sized bathroom, safe) *Afternoon snack & drink each day *Lots of activities for adults and kids (particularly enjoyed free use of snorkels) *4-5 restaurants to choose from (we liked the Sundowner Bar & Grill the most) *Bebe Spa experience was nice (the view is amazing up there) *Love that there is an Adults only pool and restaurant *Free wi-fi *Detailed information about amenities and services available through an app *Ability to track room bill through your TV *Channel ABC Australia was available (good for AFL fans) Things I didn't like *No options to purchase fruit or healthy snacks, which is a shame given that there are no shops near the resort. *No Fijian food on the menus *3% surcharge for payment with a credit card is insane when you're spending thousands on your room bill or accommodation payment *10FJD fee and 900 FJD max withdrawal using ATM *Hotel transfer cost is high, around 160 AUD (can get for 100 AUD elsewhere) *7.50 FJD for a 1 litre bottle of water (they only give you 1 complimentary bottle per day) *Although the views and the general experience at Bebe Spa were nice, the massage itself was pretty average"

"I was unsure how the arrival and check-in experience would go, as I'd heard you need to take a short boat ride across to the hotel from the mainland. This turned out to be super easy, and we didn't need to wait long for the boat to come across and collect us. The service runs 24hrs which is good to know, especially if you have an early or late flight. We had to leave for the airport at 04:30 am on check-out and had no issues. We were on the boat with some of the workers, which was fun. Things I liked *Hotel setting is beautiful, with hut-style rooms amongst palm trees. Our room had an ocean view, which was dreamy to wake up to. *Room was spacious with a nice-sized bathroom, a safe, an ironing board, and a fridge. *The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful *The pool area was nice and overlooks the ocean Things I didn't like *There was no hair dryer *You have to pay for Wi-Fi, which is almost unheard of these days *There's no written information telling guests about the hotel facilities *Can't swim in the ocean *Only 2 restaurants - Vulani food was terrible & had not a single healthy option. Tavu was nice, but it's the fancy, more expensive option and only does dinner. *Given the location, it's an effort to leave the hotel and find other restaurants or shops *3% surcharge for credit card payments or 10FJFD per transaction to withdraw cash This hotel was okay for a couple of nights, but I personally wouldn't spend my whole trip here."

"You definately feel the Fiji experience. Food a little pricey for our budget but good , housekeeping was great and the bar served us well. Denarau is not too far if you thinking of outer island day trips."

"The hotel is extremely comfortable and well maintained! The staff is amazing. Beautiful property. One of the best resorts we’ve stayed. Each morning I looked forward to the breakfast buffet. Especially the pho! We had the pleasure of experiencing three different rooms. The pool access was by far our best room!"
