“Nice property overlooking the Elbe river. They don't take credit cards which requires a transfer from a bank for 70% of your stay to reserve your room. The owners are very friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. They own and operate an ice cream shop and restaurant with typical German food options adjacent to the hotel. We enjoyed dinner dining on the terrace next to the Elbe. Typical of many European hotels there is no A/C or fans but they are seldom needed. Bathroom was updated and...

“Wir waren 2 Nächte im Schlosshotel. Als erstes ist uns das sehr schöne Ambiente aufgefallen. Es ist alles im Stil eines Landhaus eingerichtet. Sehr sauber und romantsich. Die Lage ist super direkt am Schloß und am Fluß. Wenn Abend die Tagestouristen gegangen sind herrscht ein idyllische Ruhe. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und lecker.”

“We loved everything about this property! Our apartment was spacious and the kitchen had practically everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful. We were able to walk to a train station and a ferry to cross the river into Schmilka, which was absolutely adorable by the way! Some of the best hiking we have ever done was in the mountains behind the town! We would definitely stay here again! Ansgar, the caretaker, was attentive and lovely! Thank you for everything!”

“It was a nice hotel with smiling and helpful staff. There was very small refrigerator in room but it is very slow about its job. Otherwise everything in room was good and clean including bed comfort. Breakfast was fairly good but could have more options or hot additions. I would recommend this hotel”

“Es war eine fantastische Aussicht auf die Festung Königstein, den Lilienstein und die Elbe. Das Personal war überaus umsichtig und das Essen im Restaurant war hervorragend! Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter, was man lediglich an der Einrichtung erkennt, aber alles in allem, war es sauber, es war alles vorhanden und es wird durch die netten Mitarbeiter und den Chef für alles gesorgt, was das Herz begehrt!
