"Really lovely place for a group with an exceptional dock for easy access to the lake. Kitchen has all amenities that you would need to make every meal at home. Great communication with the hosts. I would rate the cleanliness as good instead of excellent; quite a few large spiderwebs, carpets with some staining, bath rugs well worn and bathtub that could a little TLC. However, with any vacation rental, I imagine it is hard to keep everything top-notch! Also bummed out that we couldn’t use the propane fireplace on the deck, that would have been good information to share in the listing. We had a lovely retreat at this lake house and would absolutely stay here again."

"The hotel was charming and full of character which was wanted. It didn’t dissappoint from a comfort level either. The bed and pillows were so comfortable we had amazing sleep. The location of this hotel is perfection. You never have to drive unless you want to check out the state parks. Restaurants and bars and shops are steps from the main entrance. "

"Staying at Tara was an amazing experience. Everything was exactly what we were looking for to get away for the weekend! The cabin was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals including spices and condiments (except butter), the couch was so comfortable, there were extra blankets, towels, toilet paper and even a first aid kit. The privacy was amazing, it was like being in our own little world. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub (and skinny dip) and I took a relaxing bath in the generously sized tub both nights we stayed. The hike down to the creek from the deck in back was steep but worth it, to a small pond where we came across two wild minks (yes they were minks, the area is at the fringe of there geographic range)! But we spent the majority our time at a swimming hole called “the baths” which was a much easier hike to an amazing rock formation the creek ran through, the picture doesn’t do it justice. Believe me, this place is highly rated for a reason and you will not be disappointed!"

"We were incredibly happy with our stay! The room was very cute, clean, and had everything we needed! The location was also very convenient, it was only about a10-15 minute walk to the restaurants/bars. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. It is a no frills space, so if there are items you consider essential to your world, bring them with you. It does have a powerful air conditioner which we were grateful for at the end of August. We'll be back, proximity to the river and the price can't be beat. Now that we know it's pretty rustic we will pack more essentials and be extra cozy there. "
