Winter vacation
My family takes a yearly vacation up in this area for snowmobiling and ice fishing. We usually stay at a different VRBO but we opted to try this place this year because it was a better price and a larger house. I contacted the host a day before arrival to see if we would be able to get in any sooner than 4PM since we were traveling quite a distance and wanted to time our arrival correctly. I was told that any sooner that 3PM would incur a half day charge. We arrived at 3:30. I notified the host of our arrival but they took over a half hour to get back to us so we could not get into the cabin until after 4 anyway. Because all the kids had to use the bathroom and were thirsty, we ended up having to leave and go to town to get stuff to drink and use the bathroom while we waited for them to send us a code to get in. I thought that was rather inconvenient and rude. Especially knowing we were coming and check in was at 4 anyway. Aside from that, the house was very clean. Nice location. We likely will go back to our other VRBO as they were more accommodating to earlier arrivals which is so nice when you travel such a distance with large groups and kids.
