A whimsical recreation and part of Fiddlestix Village the Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum offers our guest a Hocking Hills lodging option like no other. This amazing little cottage is the perfect fit for up to three people looking to explore the area attractions. The name of our little cottage says it all. The large windows are host to an enormous collection of salt and pepper shakers years in the making. Throughout the cottage the theme remains the same and the spacious sitting room features a red plush love seat, leather recliner, wicker rocker, and an electric fireplace. When you step into the "Shaker Style" kitchenette you will find a beautiful hand crafted table with bench seating and cabinets created by local artisans.
The bedroom is equipped with one queen sized bed and one twin bed which makes this cottage the perfect fit to sleep two to three guest. The bathing area features a extra large shower with double heads and a beautiful Victorian dresser re-purposed as a vanity. This was such a quaint little place. It had all the amenities we needed. The bathroom is updated and the beds were very comfortable. And there is the amazing assortment of salt and pepper shakers also. Really enjoyed our stay.

First stay in Hocking Hills
This is a property that is obviously cared for by the owners. There were a couple of issues for us: having one bar internet should be noted as I was unable to do any work there. The bathroom is OK but needs to have the rust painted on the wall heater. We did not plan to fortunately but real cooking there would be an issue for most. We were hoping that the property would be more secluded.

The kitchen, beds and bathroom were clean. The window sills and all the salt and pepper shakers should be cleaned. Ceiling fans could use a dusting along with a few corner cobwebs. The location was great and the cost was reasonable.

Smells like a old house , had ladybugs all around in the house and spider's and the web's in the bathroom. Just a little cleaning and dusting would make it a good place. Poison Ivy on the steps and window.

Overall a good little place.
This is a quaint cabin, close to anything you need in Hocking Hills. Wi-Fi is good and the layout is nice for how small the cabinet is. Shower pressure was good but the sink pressure sucked, I had to use the sprayer option on the sink. The site itself was quiet, and the cabin was setback from the road so there was not much road noise. The AC worked well and was comfortable in September. A few of my annoyances with the place is the shower door didn’t stay closed, so I had to mop the corner of the floor every time I showered, half of the lights either didn’t work, or didn’t have lightbulbs, and under the beds were not vacuumed in years. Really for the price and the location, the benefits outweigh the little annoyances. Also, just so you know, the water supply in the whole area smells like sulfur, not just in Fiddlestix. If you’re sensitive to that, bring your own drinking water.

The cottage was filled with vintage salt and pepper shakers. The owners did a great job decorating the cottage to give it the Fiddlesticks feel. We loved it. So uniqie and in a good location.

This property is the definition of "quaint"!
This is so cozy and beautifully furnished. The decor is simple and all flows together. The property was advertised as being ADA accessible, and it is. Some grab bars beside the toilet would have been appreciated, along with a shower chair. Ants are a big problem! Altho they were confined to the kitchen area during our stay & we did not cook or eat there, they still were present. .

Salt and Pepper Cottage
We stayed for three nights to see the Hocking Hills area. The Fiddlesticks Cottage Community could be even more enjoyable with a few updates such as new outdoor sitting or eating area with picnic tables or individual cottage table and chairs. Very cute cottage community.

Great spot for the weekend and just a few short miles from hiking trails.
We had a great weekend and the cabin was perfect for our needs. Close to hiking and a great place to rest in the evenings. Had everything we needed and we brought a griddle to make eggs for breakfast.

Cute property
My husband and I stayed at this property for the weekend. Family and friends rented 2 of the other properties. This property was clean and cute. However the bathroom floor has weak spots, the air conditioner was old and not very cool and.no tv service. We were advised of no tv before our stay. It did not bother us. We have stayed here before and love it and will be happy to stay again.

Good place for the price, not perfect.
The buildings are pretty close together, some as close as 10' some as far as 70' away. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchenette was sufficient, though the one frying pan it had was in pretty rough shape. Freezer was in dire need of defrosting, after chipping out chunks of ice, I could finally open the freezer door. Water was strong smelled, but the taste wasn't so bad. I brought a large thermos/cooler of water. Some of the subfloor should be tightened up, there were a few soft boards. Overall, we were pleased. For the price, we werent' expecting a 4 star place. It was quaint, all the shakers were cool to look at. The internet was pretty slow, but serviceable for getting what we needed, but don't expect to stream netflix (I did not, and brought a few offline movies). The cable worked pretty well, but did not have Big Ten Network. The one shower head worked with heat, but don't expect to run them both at the same time. One of the shower levers was failing. It was nice they had firewood and charcoal out for us. All in all, had a good time and would go again. It'd be fun to rent out a few of the other buildings with other couples on a group trip (after setting expectations).

A lovely place to stay
The cottage had a nostalgic feel with modern convenience; the shakers are a whimsical and playful touch. The wifi wasn't great and you can't find service but that's why you stay in place like this. It is all you need to escape the stresses of everyday life. The bedroom had calm lighting and an extra comfy mattress. The bathroom was well lit and spacious. All in all was a wonderful place to rest after a long hike. We did arrive late the first evening and felt silly not being able to find the firepit, which we did find before we left. Look straight out the bathroom or far bedroom window and you'll see it. I recommend to anyone looking for a quiet,quaint, lovely affordable cabin or cottage.

Long weekend at the Salt/Pepper Shaker Cabin
We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The cabin is adorable and easily accommodated everything we were looking for! The bed was very comfortable and we had warm showers each morning. The cell service throughout the area was very spotty, but that wouldn't stop us from returning and enjoying the cabin and the surrounding area again!

My sister and I loved this place. It was so cute and cozy. I will definitely stay here again but maybe try a different cabin. I will have to stay at all of them before I decide a favorite. LOL The Wi-Fi is not the greatest, but it is a rural area and services are limited as to what you can get.

Description was accurate. Was hard to find. Bring a map with directions. I didn’t have any cell coverage; map on phone didn’t work. If you plan on spending the day at the park and just need somewhere to sleep then this is the place to stay.
