The home is a beautiful historical home. The accommodations were everything we needed. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Sitting out on the porch was so peaceful and serene. The area is residential and very quiet. I loved we could get a cup of tea or coffee complimentary throughout the day. We were within walking distance of great restaurants and a beautiful downtown area. The home had so much character and great sitting areas which is something I love as opposed to a modern hotel.
Lovely home turned Inn. Had the pleasure of meeting the caretaker and talking with him regarding the history of the home. Which was very informative.
The area was quiet and beautiful and met my needs for my 3 day stay.
Very Nice Staff, Clean Modest Accommodations, Lovely Victorian Inn, 5 minute walk to Town filled with great places to eat. I would definitely stay again and its affordable.
In town for the weekend visiting old friends. This is an old home on the edge of downtown Summit converted to a peaceful and well kept Inn. Check in and out is easy, with a code issued for 24 hr access to the front door. Nothing really special about the continental breakfast, but it's served in a vintage main floor area with access for an outdoor porch. It is within walking distance of dining options downtown, including the iconic Summit Diner. It's a great option if Summit is your destination. My room was clean and spacious, the bed comfy and the bathroom room was clean and well stocked. Do keep in mind, this is an old converted home, so all the rooms are a little different and not without their minor design quirks, as opposed to a brand new hotel meticulously designed with the modern traveler in mind. But, I found it very charming, quiet and restful, which was perfect for me.
Charming, traditionally decorated, and quiet accommodation.
Clean, well maintained, with friendly stuff members. Convenient to walk to Summit downtown.
The landscaping was very well kept. The interior was very nostalgic. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening. Our room was small but had everything we needed for our short stay. The location was perfect for the events we needed to attend.
This is a very nice "bed and breakfast" type establishment, just outside of downtown Summit. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, you can easily walk to downtown and the breakfast has a nice selection of breakfast bread and pastries. I would stay here again.
Location for Summit, New Jersey is always perfect. I’ve stayed at this hotel five or six times, and keep coming back. I won’t be coming back to this particular room from this trip. It was smaller than I expected it to be and kind of difficult to walk around in. Room 3 is located behind the main staircase and I could hear everybody that went up and down the stairs all night. The bed was also quite tired and the pillows need to be replaced. The breakfast was fine, as it usually is, but not spectacular. All in all this hotel is good value for money, but I won’t be booking this particular room again.
Conveniently located. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Easy check-in even without an attendant available. Breakfast offering was a bit less than what is generally served at a bed and breakfast type inn. Continental help yourself with no warm items (i.e., eggs, breakfast meats, etc.). Would still stay again when in the area.
Love staying here. Beautiful old home. Terrific breakfast. Comfortable and clean. Staff and owners are great and hospitable people.

We stayed there for a wedding during Valentine's day weekend and loved it! The breakfast was excellent, the staff was super friendly, and the amenities and location were great! It was only a few minutes walk to downtown Summit, and it's also really close to the NJT Summit train stop (though we did not use the train this trip. I would definitely stay here again!
