Sleeping up to four people in two bright bedrooms with a modern bathroom. Refurbished throughout in 2022 this comfy house is ideal for couples or a small family as a perfect base from which to explore the many attractions in Northumberland. There is an enclosed back yard, and a bench at the front of the property looking out to sea; there is no garden.
Walk from the door and discover the rock pools, sandy beach and sea. It is ideal for all age ranges. The beach is accessible to dogs all year, although from April to the end of September part of the beach is closed to dogs. There is a map in the property’s welcome book that indicates dog-friendly areas of the beach, and the beach just beyond the golf club that is open to dogs all year. The long flat promenade reaches all the way from one end of the bay to the Church Point where a gentle stroll will enable you to chat to some of the friendly locals. You can stop off at the Italian ice cream parlour near the bandstand or have a coffee in the Maritime Centre which is located by the church. New for April 2024 Caffe Needles Eye is opening at the south end of the promenade. For wildlife lovers, Church Point is considered to be one of the best sites in the county to view seabirds, and from where seals, dolphins and porpoises can also be spotted. Walk 4 miles up the coastal path passing Lynemouth and you will find Druridge Bay where you can take in the 7-mile beach and have lunch or coffee at the café. Several country parks are within easy reach of Newbiggin and offer fabulous walking and bird watching opportunities. Newbiggin has a clifftop golf course and one of the oldest working lifeboat stations in England; visit the RNLI shop on a Sunday morning which is housed inside the lifeboat station just a few yards from your front door. A couple of restaurants and pubs are in this friendly village as well as cafés, bakery, butcher, takeaways, craft shops and a supermarket. A new paddle board rental Newbiggin surf opened in 2023 and the sheltered bay is ideal for the more energetic. For those who enjoy the ‘Park Run’, it starts 110 yards up the promenade.
With easy road access all over the county it is simple to plan days away. The historic town of Morpeth is only 9 miles with river boats and abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafés as well as a charming Edwardian shopping arcade. Main supermarkets are only 3 miles inland. Travel around 13 miles north to Amble with a popular Sunday market or Warkworth with a hillside castle. Follow the coastal route all the way north and perhaps stop off in Seahouses or Bamburgh and back to Alnwick to maybe look around the majestic castle used in some scenes of Harry Potter. Whitley Bay is only 13 miles south with a fabulous promenade and walk along to Tynemouth for a lovely day out. Visitors to Newbiggin will appreciate the community spirit in this small fishing village, only a few fishing cobles remain and can be seen early morning out at sea. Beach 30 yards. Shops, pub and restaurant 110 yards.

Beautiful views in super location. Great frontage, safe for children and pups. Promenade ideal for dog walking and morning exercise (noted the beach is forbidden to dogs except for the south extreme) Just off the high street with its late opening shops, Cafes and pubs A great place to stay
